If you had to decide which came before?  The chicken or the egg?  What would be your answer?  I think that we have all asked that question before.  My theory if you would like to know, would of been the chicken!  Why do you ask.  I believe that the Lord created all the animals, therefore, the chicken was here, and since they don't require a rooster to lay an egg, whalah!  Now the chicken has laid an egg, then incubated the egg, and along comes the 2nd chicken!!


Seriously though, what is your favorite kind of a chicken and why?  I have many favorites in my yard, due to their egg production as well as the demeanor of a chicken.  Like I stated before, chickens are very friendly, but as always there can be a bad seed here and there.  The ones that I enjoy the most are my Banty and Silkie variety.  These are the best for children to handle in my opinion, since they wont really scratch and peck on ya.  As well as they are small, usually 1 to 2 pounds in size.
